To Our Valued Clients and Those Seeking Help
As the situation with COVID-19 is developing, and widespread closures and limits to gatherings have been instituted by our government officials across our state and nation, our highest priority is to assure the health and safety of our clients, families, and the wider community. With that said, Restored Connections wants to recognize the specific needs and issues related to this pandemic to offer our support in a way that is safe and protective of the community.
Identifying Needs
We understand that the need for ongoing treatment is crucial for those that have pre-existing mental health conditions and needs. We also understand that new issues and needs may develop as a direct result of the changes that we face moving out of the community and into our homes. We recognize that these changes may bring on new challenges for many people. For example, some people struggle with fear and safety issues related to health concerns for themselves or loved ones, employment uncertainty, or possibly the threat associated with being confined with a person who is abusive. Grief issues also surface when we experience loss of connection with others, loss of structure and routine, and loss of a sense of purpose. Finally family-life balance issues can increase stress as family members contend for the same space and resources (including, but not limited to internet bandwidth and equipment), experience changing and competing roles and responsibilities, and attempt to balance work and family needs as boundary lines between work and home become blurred.
Our Solutions
Restored Connections has identified two categories, fee restructuring and telehealth, where we can help provide solutions to improving our support to clients during this time of uncertainty and change.
Restored Connections has been equipped and has been using telehealth as appropriate to client needs for quite some time now. We are confident that we can support most of our client needs through this delivery system in a safe and effective way.
Telehealth means:
- The delivery of health care services through the use of interactive audio and video technology, permitting real-time communication between the client at the originating site and the provider, for the purpose of diagnosis, consultation, or treatment.
- Our platform is HIPAA compliant, in order to protect your privacy and confidentiality, and there is no additional cost to our clients.
- Clients can participate in sessions from home or any location determined appropriate by the client and their therapist using the client’s computer or mobile phone .
We are committed to you and want to provide quality care, especially through this difficult time even though we may not be able to see each other in the office. During the “lockdown” period we are proactively rebooking our clients using our Telehealth office location. Your therapist will send a link to you via email or text before the session begins to allow you to connect.
With many facing job uncertainty and financial cuts, Restored Connections has developed and would like to make available to those in need the following fee options:
- Fee reduction over the next 4 weeks.
- Deferred payment plans
If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact your therapist to make the necessary changes to your fee.
For new clients and those who want to return to therapy, we want to meet you where you are and offer the support necessary during this time. Our Intake process can be completed entirely online through our Client Portal and we will gladly meet you at our Telehealth location. You are welcome to contact us individually as well.
