The experiences of grief and loss can be brutal as well as rich and meaningful and the process of grieving and having someone to walk alongside you in the journey can make all the difference. Through the process of grief we can make meanings of our losses and find peace and recover joy even in the most challenging circumstances. All of our clinicians have personal and professional experiences with grief and are equipped to help you experience understanding and comfort and guide you in stepping through the grieving process. Don’t walk the journey alone. Reach out for some support and care. We can include grief processing as part of individual, couples, and family work.
Kathleen Shanahan, is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, and she periodically offers the Groups using the Grief Recovery Method
The Action Program for Moving Beyond Death, Divorce and Other Losses
Myths about grief:
- Time heals all wounds
- Replace the loss
- Grieve alone
- Be strong for others
- Bury your feelings
Your feelings are normal and natural. The problem is that we have been socialized to believe that these feelings are abnormal and unnatural.
Whether your loss is from:
- Divorce or end of relationship
- Loss of career/retirement
- Loss of trust
- Loss of faith
- Loss of safety
- Loss of health
People say you have to let go and move on with your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to do to accomplish that. The Grief Recovery Method Support Group Program not only makes that possible, but provides you with the partnerships and guidance to help that happen. We want to help you complete your relationship to the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by a significant emotional loss.
The Grief Recovery Method Grief Support Group is not an occasional drop-in program. For the safety and protection for all participants, commitment and attendance are required.
8-Week Program Cost: $200
